Project Overview
Leyla Hijab Boutique is an Egyptian modest fashion retailer selling Islamic women's wear — abayas, dresses, tunics, skirts, cardigans, coats, and full outfit sets — to a predominantly Egyptian Muslim audience that shops heavily on mobile. Their positioning, "Reflects Your Values," anchors every design decision in a brand identity that balances modesty with contemporary style. We built their Shopify storefront with a mobile-first architecture throughout — from the product grid to the checkout flow — since the vast majority of their customer traffic arrives via mobile social channels. Product pages feature multiple colour-way options, size guides, and high-quality flat-lay photography that works in a scroll-stop environment. The collection structure was organised to mirror how their customers actually browse: by category (abayas, sets, occasionwear) and by season (Ramadan collection, new arrivals), making it easy for repeat customers to find new drops quickly. Items are priced between LE 490 and LE 1,790 with frequent discount mechanics (15–45% off) that drive urgency without cheapening the brand. Cash-on-delivery was implemented as the primary payment method — essential for the Egyptian market where card penetration remains limited and COD is the dominant checkout preference. A clean returns policy and Arabic/English language support reduce purchase anxiety and support repeat buying. Wishlist and newsletter functionality build the retention layer that keeps the brand top-of-mind between drops.
