Project Overview

Moasher is an Egyptian media intelligence platform whose name translates to index — a fitting description of its core function: systematically monitoring and summarizing Egyptian and international news coverage across every major media format. The platform serves researchers, journalists, political analysts, decision-makers, and media institutions who require reliable, curated summaries rather than raw news feeds. The platform was built on WordPress with a heavily customized theme and editorial workflow designed for a high-volume Arabic publishing team. The right-to-left layout, Arabic typography, and content hierarchy were all tuned specifically for the platform's target audience in the Egyptian and broader Arab media landscape. Content is organized into five structured report types: local journalism indices, international media translations covering global coverage of Egypt, television monitoring reports analyzing satellite channel talk show content, regional and international event summaries, and periodic digests published daily, weekly, and monthly. Each format has its own post type, archive, and navigational treatment. Video content is deeply integrated with a library of daily briefings embedded throughout the platform. Social distribution is automated across Telegram, X, YouTube, Instagram, Threads, and Facebook — reflecting the platform's strategy of meeting its audience on the channels they already use. Editorial integrity is a core stated value: the platform enforces strict separation of factual reporting from opinion, requires source attribution for all translated content, and applies a verification-before-speed editorial standard that differentiates Moasher from faster but less rigorous news aggregators in the region.
